Single Machine Installation
info
If you have an ATS kit (LPU with SENSR-I pre-installed), you may skip this procedure.
caution
Make sure you have an active internet connection during the installation process.
Single Machine Installation is designed for simplicity, using a straightforward setup without the need for Kubernetes. This option is ideal for users seeking an easier installation process.
With this installation method, the SR Launcher is not used. Instead, upon completion of the Single Machine Install, you will be provided with three desktop icons: Start SENSR, Start SENSR (autostart), and Stop SENSR. These icons are used to launch and manage SENSR.
Please note that the Single Machine Installation does not support a distributed system.
Pre-requisites
By default, SENSR operates on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, please run sudo apt update to ensure all repository links are up to date.
Ensure that you have the single machine installation package sensr-singlemachine-installer_[VERSION].deb. Please contact support@seoulrobotics.org in case it is missing.
Installation
- Place the package in the home folder.
- Run
sudo apt install ./sensr-singlemachine-installer_[VERSION].deb. - Once the installation completes, 3 icons will be created on the desktop:
- Start SENSR: Will start SENSR in GUI mode,
- Start SENSR (autostart): Will start SENSR in non GUI mode and will automatically restart SENSR at reboot,
- Stop SENSR: Will stop SENSR.
- Click on Start SENSR
- At first launch, SENSR will download its dependencies, this operation can take a few minutes and may reboot the machine if the graphics driver is installed.
- Deploy your SENSR license following the guide here.
- Run SENSR by clicking once more on Start SENSR.
Run and stop SENSR
- To run SENSR in GUI mode, click Start SENSR
- To stop SENSR, click Stop SENSR
Note: With the single machine, the web frontend is automatically activated and can be reached through either localhost or the IP address of the host on the network using port 5000
Autostart
To ensure that SENSR restarts every single time the host boots up, after setting up SENSR in GUI mode:
- Click Stop SENSR
- Click Start SENSR (Autotstart)
This will start SENSR in non GUI mode and allow for recovery any time the host is shut down.
